i have 2 problems


  • im using wordpress latest version and buddypress latest version
    and buddypress default theme.

    i want to show post excerpt instead of showing full post in my homepage.
    you can see the current condition by going my homepage
    (though these post are not in english but you can easily notice it’s showing full text with no ‘read more’ button or link…)

    i’ve changed the <?php the_content… to <?php the_excerpt… in several scripts but no result.
    NOTE:im using 000webhost free plan.

  • There should be a box in the Edit page screen that is titled ‘Excerpt’, and I believe that if this is empty that WP will still pick the Excerpt from the Content box. Try putting a little Excerpt in this box and see if it works.

    would you please tell me what you mean by edit page screen?
    is it the theme editor screen ?

    I just clicked on your website in post and seems as if its Website Under Review
