I have a problem with img-src and lazy loading

That part that starts with

src="data:image/gif;

is a loader/placeholder image for lazy load encoded as base64 (basically an “inline” image). That is fine in general but should be replaced with an actual image the moment the image area gets into the visible part of the viewport/screen.

I admit I find it quite surprising this is the issue for logged-in users rather than logged-out/incognito as usually if something like that happens it’s exactly opposite – it affects visitors/incognito and not logged-in users. Still though, that’s usually related to caching, asset (JS) optimization or unexpected conflict.

To start with, can you check if the issues is fully gone if you temporarily disable Lazy Load in Smush?

If yes, do enable it back and then test these two things:

1. in Lazy Laod settings under “Display & Animation” switch option to “None”, save settings, clear cache and see if the same issue happens

3. what happens if you switch “Scripts” option (if it’s set to “Footer”, switch it to “Header”; if it’s set to “Header” already, try “Footer”)?

2. what happens if you enable “Enable native lazy loading” option?

Let us know as this may help us narrow down possible causes.
