    Hi, I recently installed Two-Factor-Authentication plugin to one of my WordPress. But, I accidentally close the page before I register the QR Code to my Authenticator App. Now I can’t login to my WordPress because it needs OTP password (which is randomized from the Authenticator App that I have not connected with my WordPress, so I can’t get the code).
    Is there any way to solve this problem?
    Really looking forward for you response.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

    There’s info on how to deactivate the plugin in the FAQs – linked from the right-hand side of this page.

    Dear @nicarpedium168,

    Hi, yes the code is posted by David in his FAQ. Follow this, FAQ –> “I lost my device that has pass-codes – or, they don’t work. What to do?”, where you could find this coding:

    define(‘TWO_FACTOR_DISABLE’, true);

    I managed to input the code to my site from FireZilla apps (it’s a programme which can lead you in to your site and edit the code). Most of all, make sure you have a good internet connection because you FireZilla will update your code automatically (I think?). From FireZilla apps, you could follow these steps:
    1. Insert your hosting name in “Host”, your cpanel username and password in “Username” and “Password”
    2. After you’re in, look for many folders to your right and search “public_html”
    3. Then, scroll down to find “wp-config.php” and right click to select “View/Edit”. It supposely directing to your Notepad apps
    4. CTRL+F in your Notepad (with such every detail of your website coding in it) and search “define(‘Two_FACTOR_DISABLE’
    5. If your search has no result, then you must add the code (which mention by David in his FAQ) under “define(‘NONCE_SALT” and don’t forget to end the new code with ; (definitely important to make sure you have already type the ; or the things won’t work!)
    6. When you have edited the code and switch the page, the FireZilla will automatically update your code (any pop-up shown, just check the box and click yes)
    7. vio-la done!

    I know it’s kinda hard and I dealt with great struggling back then too. But I hope this might help!
