I installed the plugin and imported my subscriber list. I created an email (newsletter) to send out and hit publish. I chose NOPTIN subscribers which I assume would be the ones I uploaded. (the list does show up in the subscriber list.

But two hours later I have not received an email (nothing in spam either) with this newsletter that was to notify my subscribers that I have written a new article on my blog.

I think there should be a checklist provided to make sure I have completed all tasks to ensure I am receiving subscribers info and it is indeed populating my list and when I create a new article, it DOES get sent out to my entire list…

Also the privacy link on the sign up is a dead link and I don’t see a way to link it to my privacy page…

Thanks (I left Jetpack but I want this to be seamless like with Jetpack… if possible)

I’ll answer my own here. Once it publishes you have to close the published newsletter and then go to the campaign and you can track it’s progress. I’m used to getting an email within minutes but the plugin send out the emails in measured doses. I have 3,300 email subscribers and it took over 3 hours for them to all go out (I still never got an email myself)

My question is this, when I publish my next article will I see the tracking on the opens and clicks or is that only for Newsletters that I build. I would really like to get the open and click report on all emails going out. Jetpack had just started giving me this recently and that went back for 30 published articles and it would have been nice to see what articles got better results.

The privacy link mentioned above was only on the form seen in the plugin. when I used the short code or block it didn’t include it.

I think from what I’m seeing the plugin is worth using and maybe getting the upgrade… time will tell.

But I see no indication that any notification has gone out to my 3500 newsletter subscribers? I can do an email campaign but nothing I’ve seen in the directions says that this is what I have to do?

Do I need one of those “other” plugins? is it even supposed to send out a notification. The plugin page indicates that it is “supposed” to send out a notification to ALL my subscribers but the campaign too 4 hours to go out, is that the same for the newsletter notification. I really would like ALL email notifications to be listed under the campaign tab and tell me how many clicked and opened the emails

    Hi @folgerj,

The privacy link is a placeholder. You can open the form in the form editor and change it as shown in this image:- https://scrnli.com/files/vCC2mMX18hCxb8

When you publish a new blog post, Noptin will automatically create a new newsletter for the blog post and send it out. You can then track its sends, opens and clicks in Noptin > Email Campaigns > Newsletters.

If that is not the case then please report this as a bug on our GitHub repository:- https://github.com/hizzle-co/noptin/issues

Jetpack sends emails via their servers that’s why their emails send out instantly. For privacy reasons, Noptin does everything on your own servers and nothing ever gets sent to our servers. This means that the sending speed is dependent on the speed of your server (or SMTP service).
