I keep getting locked out before even logging in

    Hello please can someone urgently help me.

    When I try and log in to my website I get locked out even before being able to insert my username and password. I have white-listed my IP address but that does not help. I have changed my password but still nothing.

    I am just trying to get to the login page so that I can insert my username and password, login into my website and do my work. But I keep getting locked out.

    Please urgently help thank you

    Can you please let me know which lockout you are seeing? If the lockout screen has a Wordfence logo, you will likely be best to use file manager/FTP to disable the Wordfence plugin by renaming the wordfence folder in wp-content/plugins (rename wordfence to wordfence_temp for example). After you rename that, you should have no trouble logging in if Wordfence was causing the issue.

    Once you get logged in, go into the Plugins area and download Wordfence Assistant. Activate and open Wordfence Assistant and click Disable Wordfence Firewall. You can now go back and rename wordfence_temp to the original wordfence and refresh your dashboard. You should have access to Wordfence now to send me diagnostics from Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Send report by email to the email [email protected]
