    Hi Everyone,

I have tried repeatedly to get my website stopped from being hacked, but I am hoping someone has the time to talk me through this.

It seems like it’s always my themes that keep getting compromised.

I have made backups and almost always find the same files that are being changed.

If you can send me a private PM, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Eugene

    esmi,

It’s pretty clear from both posts when the author write stuff like this..

“Non-technical users can safely ignore this post. “

    or

I do realize that some people would still rather a professional programmer perform many of the steps I outlined here.

…there are probably some things that I better not try on my own or risk losing my entire site and hard work.

In fact, I did try to backup, replace files and upgrade. But a complete backup, removal and installation from scratch has me concerned. I have a backup that I use to overwrite some files and that brings my website back to normal, but there must be a hidden backdoor somewhere.

I don’t want to sound completely helpless here as I have taken some measures to ensure I am safe, but I fear this is starting to get too risky for me.

    Thanks,

    Eugene

there must be a hidden backdoor somewhere.

Exactly. If this is a shared server, it could even be elsewhere on the server. Have you spoken to your hosts about this?

If the issue is within your WordPress install and you don’t want to carry out the work yourself, I can only suggest that you consider hiring a professional. Unless the back door is found, you’re likely to get hacked again and again.
