I keep getting the message “Validate Contact Form 7 Configuration”

I have exactly the same problem, I have cf7 installed on localhost as a trial.

No other plugins or themes, I am using the default WordPress theme, as well as the default cf7 contact form.

I think I have found a solution, what I did is as follows;

1. Export all your forms from; Tools > export
2. Delete Contact Form 7 and all associated plugins.
3. Clean Data Base, I used Advanced Data Base Cleaner plugin.
4. Reinstall Contact Form 7
5. Import all forms; Tools > Import
7. Reinstall all CF7 associated plugins.
8. Open and test all forms.

The above worked perfectly for me.

Thanks for your tip, although I struggle with the 3rd step: where do I clean the database? I don’t have suche an entry, neither in the Contact Form menu nor in the tools menu.

Hi @tirohn,

Install and activate the plugin ‘Advanced Data Base Cleaner’.
Click on WP Database Cleaner.
On the General clean-up tab, select all elements to clean
Click on the drop down box, go to clean and then apply.

If this is to much, just disregard step 3 above, the fix should still work.

Thanks, that didn’t help that much, thanks anyway. I guess this is the time to move on to another great tool and leave WP behind, too many workarounds in too many occasions.
