I have had great difficulty getting full width images. I use the customizr theme. My work around has been to add an html block and then use normal code. Rather defeats the object of an editor designed to make things easier. If I try and use the image block I either cannot get full width or the image does not appear particularly if the block is lower down the page. Bizarre behaviour.
My other issue has been the moving feature for blocks with the arrows. A copy block and paste block would have been more useful.
Otherwise it has been fine for me.

Hi @johnbrid, thanks for leaving a review. I would love to explore if you have time if this is the theme or an issue we can report with Gutenberg. Do you have the same problems with the full-width images using Twenty Twenty or Twenty Nineteen? I ask this as a theme has to support full-width for it to work in Gutenberg and I am not sure that theme does.

Regarding your issue with moving blocks, you are able to duplicate blocks. Could I ask what you are looking for with copy and pasting that you can’t already do? There is, for example, some copy and paste by default.

    Hi Tammie
    Thanks for responding
yorkshirecoastholidaycottages.co.uk has a wordpress site under development with the customizr theme and using Gutenberg blocks. This where I am having the issue. If I add an image block I cannot seem to get it to look full width whatever i do.

My way round is to add a Gutenberg html block and then use the normal html reference for the image.
    eg
    Yorkshire coast surf

This gives me a full width image which is what I want.
What is stranger is that if I try to put this image well down the page it appears in the right place (still not full width) on Preview ——-but on View page there is nothing there at all . Weird!
Strangely if I add a gallery with several photos then I get full width. Weird

I have checked out twenty 20 and twenty 19.
Twenty 19 works as it should but twenty 20 does not give a full width image

Re moving blocks thing. I have needed to move a block over about 20 other blocks which is tedious using the move arrows particularly as the block tends to move around the page sometimes so you have to reposition the mouse. To save time I now copy the text which is in the block , remove the block and then create a new block where i want the text and paste the text in it. It would be much easier if i could cut the block and paste the block where i want it.
It would also help when playing with columns. I can’t find a way to move a block into a column block without copying and pasting content into a newly created block inside the column block
    Thanks
    John

PS There does seem to be quite a lot of stuff in forums about gutenberg and full width images not working with this theme and many other themes
Some stuff on the internet seems very convoluted to achieve the same thing. However it would be much easier if the image block worked at full width.

    eg https://www.billerickson.net/full-and-wide-alignment-in-gutenberg/

Sorry just checked on twenty 19 again. I cannot actually get the text to full width. I am not familiar with this theme. The image block seems wide but I cannot compare it to the html image which has come out at the same width as the text ie narrow in the middle of the page.
