Additionally, It appears that instead of using the staging site set up at Astra support’s request, Astra created a live test post that showed up on my site home page. As a result, there was a blank post on my homepage named “test”! I had to change the date so the blank “test” post did not show as one of the latest posts on my homepage.
Also, global button changes seem to not work at all now. I wanted to link to a post last night. When I looked at the page I wanted to link, buttons were not right. I made a global change, and no change was made. I made an affiliate link directly to the manufactures’ product page so readers would not see my Astra buttons.
Each time I have an Astra support ticket, it is a tedious process. I am moderately technical now but have an extensive technical and major accounts sales background supporting and selling data center and application development tools.
It is bewildering that Astra has a good product with such desultory support. If any company I was associated with provided the low level support that Astra provides, I would have been unceremoniously and rightfully kicked out of the account.
I like the theme and only require a little support. It would be nice to have competent, timely support when required.`
