I love Pirate Forms – WP Forms Not So Much

  • Why change a good thing? I just want a very simple form with SMTP built in. Pirate Forms was perfect. I have about 30 sites using Pirate Forms. I already changed forms from one that got sold last year and then withdrawn from the plugin repository.

    They say migrating is just a click of a button. Hmmm. SMTP details are not transferred over, the CSS is a mess, you (obviously) have to change the shortcodes dotted around your site, you are reminded that you should also edit your wp-config.php file to hold the SMTP password.

    All very time consuming for a plugin that I don’t want to change. WPForms is clunky with large flashy upgrade prompts all over the place. Urgh.
