In block editor the “View Page” link briefly shows up in a pop up after a page is updated and then it disappears.

I use it frequently in classic editor to open the current live page. Admittedly I might be in the minority.

Is there any plugin to restore the “View Page” link in block editor. I searched but did not find one.

  • Hello @sillymoney , I hope all is well for you today

Yes, since the last versions with the new block editor this option is a little more “minimized” but it is still available for sure it will just be a matter of getting used to it.

There are two ways to view the current page

    1. In the upper right bar preview to the <Update> button you can see another link called <Preview> that when displayed has another one called <Preview in new tab> this will open the current page.

    2. In the right Gutenberg Block edit bar you can access the <Permalink> section where the link of the current page will appear ready to click

These are some of the options available for you to see the current page.

Tell me if I solved your doubts ??

oh thank you. #2 is the answer!

Both links are more cumbersome but very good to know.
