    Hello all,

I have installed and deleted wordpress on 5 or more occasions so I know a little but it’s all haphazard.

    I also know some HTML.

However, I don’t really “get” RSS feeds. I do get a feed myself through google feedburner but I don’t really read it. I will start using it when I run out of ideas to write about, for ideas and such. So I know feedburner works for me, but I haven’t seen any of MY posts in my feedburner feed.

But some of the sites, including my own, when I click on the rss feed, I get the white screen with all the code and text. That’s not right, is it? Isn’t it supposed to “feed” to a reader for the person who clicks? Here’s my site: https://www.usmc101.com/ I want to make the rss feed work for new subscribers to get the latest blog posts into their feeder. Does that make sense?

I’m not afraid to manipulate the header.php file but I just don’t know exactly what to do. I’ve read other posts here but for some reason I can’t seem to get the information I need from THEIR question.

Feeds are built into WordPress. You don’t need to do anything. Yours looks to be working fine; I’m prompted to add your feed to my default reader and your posts appear fine there. You may need to set a default feed reader to be able to test it yourself – for example, https://www.google.com/reader/

So in a nutshell: not to worry, everything’s fine. ??

    Your feed works perfectly.

You get the screen with code if you do not have a reader installed. People are supposed to either copy your RSS feed url and put it in their reader of choice (like google reader) or some people have an RSS reader on their computer that automatically picks up the feed.

I tested your feed on my reader and all is well
