I need help creating a video game collection item list for my users

  • Hello. I want something like this for my wordpress site:https://gametz.com/user/FibroFreak78/Games.html

    The purpose is for users already registered on my site will be able to add games to their collection so they can keep track of them and also show what they have to other people on the internet.

    Firstly I know I need to have a front-end profile page where users can input their collection. I’ve found a plug-in for that.

    I been playing around with the plugin and edited the “Managed Database Fields” option to mirror what fields I want displayed from the example above.

    So my first question is how do I take that “Add New Participate Record” page from the admin section to the front-end profile pages of my users so they can start entering their collection?

    Ok, so my first question was already well documented by you, xnau. I placed the shortcode [pdb_signup] on the front-end profile page. When I added a title I get the message:

    “Thank you, [first_name] for signing up!

    You will receive an email acknowledgement shortly. You may complete your registration with additional information or update your information by visiting the link provided in the email.”

    For my purposes, I don’t need that and the game I added is nowhere to be found. What’s the next step here?

    I think you will find that the plugin is not well suited to your application without modification. You will need to create functionality to associate several entries with each user, for instance. This can be done, but you’ll need some coding skills to accomplish it, and it sounds like you need something that works out of the box to give you the functionality you need.

    OK, for this sort of thing, you need to figure out exactly how it will work for your users, the user interface has to be figured out before the solution can be coded.
