• My site amandawritenow.com has been blacklisted by Google and all the signs point to a “Japanese keyword hack”. Strangely, I used a translate tool and was able to see that the Japanese words Google is picking up lead to an Amazon product produced by a company in Japan…

First of all, do you think this is the company that hacked me and should I do something to report them?

Second of all, I’ve been in contact with my hosting company multiple times for help but they are only able to do scans and aren’t finding anything amiss.

Google has very clear directions about how to fix this type of hack here: https://developers.google.com/webmasters/hacked/docs/fixing_the_japanese_keyword_hack
The problem is the steps for finding and getting rid of files are quite beyond me.

So…Do I try to restore my site to an old backup even though I’m not sure if this will actually even get rid of the hacked content? Hire someone to help me-not sure who? VaultPress people? OR Have my hosting company reset and just start from scratch?

Which option is best and likely to prevent this from ever happening again? Is there another option I’m not aware of?

Thank you in advance for any support/advice you can give.
