I NEED HELP INSTALLING WORDPRESS PLEASE HELP

    I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING BUT SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. pLEASE HELP ME.

    it says this :

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    i keyed in the correct username and pass but ti keeps saying the same thing.

  • Hey guys. let me also join your club. I am also facing the same problem as selmaofficiel. However now I know where to get the MySQL Database details from and I shall do it and try. MEAN WHILE..logesh please tell me..do I have to change following details as well as the WP files are in A REMORTHOST not a LOCAL

    define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost’);

    @chanaka, if you are using remote MySQL Server then you have to replace the ‘localhost’ with the IP address of the server. Also the server needs to be configured to access its Database from a remote server where you installing WordPress.

    Hey logesh.. I did it. I got all the details after I set up MySQL DB on the server. I left HOST NAME as it is – (‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost‘); – and tried… It worked. Thanks logesh, thanks guys…
