I need help to get rid of a search widget

    I’ve added the search widget to my blog, just to see what it looks like, and now I cant get it off the blog.

    Ive tried to remove it from the widgets sidebar, but it just will not go. After clicking the Edit/Cancel/Remove buttons under the appearance tab, and then saved the changes, its still on the page. ??

    I’d apprecieate any help or advice to sort this out, which Im sure is pretty simple, but at the moment its just doing my head in.
