I need help with an unusual product combination

    woocommerce system report below as instructed in forum sticky, however this is more of a ‘how to’ ‘is it possible’ than a fault finder.

    What I’m trying to achieve needs a bit of explanation. I have searched the forum, but it’s difficult to explain so searches aren’t quite turning up what I’m after – if it already exists on a post I apologise. Here goes.

    We want to sell several products, each with the same flat rate postage. Simple enough. These are stuffed toys & cushions.

    We want to sell an additional item, a persaonlised name tag, which is only available with the purchase of some selected main products – not all products. It will be also a fixed price but with no additional postage, and it will need to have a choice of STAR or HEART shape (2 independent products can solve this, right?), some way of communicating the inscription and be unavailable to purchase in isolation… I don’t want folk to be able to buy the name tag without the main item.

    Asking too much?

    I’m new to Woocommerce but not to WP. I’ve read up on ‘forced’ selling but I THINK that is a premium serivce – and I’m not 100% sure it will give me what I’m after. Thanks for any assistance in advance.

    Hi – I’ll research that – it it a paid/premium service? Thanks again Mike. The bulk of what I wanted to achieve has been done. I’ve managed to add a custom checkout field inviting customers to manually enter additional options such as personalisation. I’ll dig further in to it – it seems the more I look, the more plugins and additional capabilities I dig up. Thanks.
