I need help with checkboxes please

Hi, have a list of checkboxes created as a custom field to a specific category. I need to relate to each checkbox a specific icon, and allow the user to select the checkboxes he wants to appear on each post.

Then, in the front-end, I want to display for each post the icons he selected for that post.

How can this be achieved?
