I need some help lightening my load
-
I run a gaming blog using wordpress. Recently, we’ve seen a significant upsurge in traffic. My problem here is that I’m now apparently exceeding the load my host will allow me to put on a shared server account. Using wp super cache, I was able to significantly decrease the load, but I’m still a little over. There may be dips in our traffic, but overall, we’re only going to be getting bigger traffic as time goes on. I’d rather not jump up to dedicated hosting just yet, as the site doesn’t bring in what I’d be shelling out for dedicated hosting – and it won’t likely be bringing in that kind of money for a few more months at best. So, any suggestions on lightening the load? I’ve already removed any plugins that don’t serve a necessary purpose, and I’ve already upgraded the plugins I am using to their latest versions. Any other tips?
Alternately, any suggestions for new web hosting?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
