    Lots of discussions are suggesting uncheck the comment in Admin, where it might work for someone, at least not me;

    Also someone suggest go into the database to forcely change the comment status to “Closed”, it does seem to almost remove the “Leave a Reply” section, unfortunately still has a “Comment Closed” section on the page.

    While understanding this has nothing to do with specific theme, I wonder how a post/page is generated? using which php file? maybe the section can be removed by deleting some php code from there?

    Thank you very much.

    You should be able to find the text “Comment Closed” in either the comments.php file or in the functions.php file. What theme are you using?

    ps: always make a backup of a file before making any changes

    Thanks, I found there is an option in the theme that allows me completely close the comment. I am using Graphene
