I need to keep logging in.

  • I am helping a poor soul get started on her blog with WP 2.05. Apparently, it had been installed by someone else, and a rough attempt at getting the blog going with a cheesy theme was made.

    She dropped her webmaster (actually he dropped her, which gives me pause for thought) and so she needed help. Guess who offered to help? ~hand raised~

    So, I get all the necessary login information, determine that Lunarpages is who hosts here domain/blog, log in to here Amin and begin to poke around when it hits me….

    …everytime I move from one area of admin to another I have to log in all over again. So, I log in again. And I am fine until I move to another area within Amin. Then I have to log in all over again…understand?

    Is this an issue with her database? Is it an issue with her server? Is this an indication that something within her 2.05 is corrupt?

    Inquiring minds wanna know.

  • Or even maybe all of the above…. I know someone with blogs on lunarpages, and that doesn’t happen to him.

    Unless she’s very attached to her database and it has a bunch of posts already, I’d (if this were me) drop the sucker, delete all the wp files, and start over completely.

    Cleaner, and safer….
