Twenty Sixteen theme and Gutenberg. I need to have a central vertical Timeline running down the page with horizontal progress bars for the various projects crossing it at numerous places. I.e – I need a progress bar block to be placed on top (not above) of the block containing the vertical time line. How can this be done? Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Hi there,

Gutenberg has the concept of nested blocks, like the Columns block, but it doesn’t sound like the same thing that you’re trying to accomplish by overlaying one block on top of another. That’s not currently possible.

One idea might be to have the vertical timeline be a background image instead of a block within the content.

    Thanx for your time Corey
Unfortunately I need the stacked blocks on top of a background image – should have clarified that.
I tried various plugins, but looks like I’ll have to go back to pure HTML – Hope I’ll be able to achieve it that way.
