I need trail to show category from pages, not post category

    Please advise me how to get the breadcrumb trail to be:

    Home > Category-name > Product page

    I have set up the Category-name to be from pages and not post, This is because of the way that the shopping cart is setup and uses the posts for it’s products.

    Right now the plugin pulls the category from the permalinks instruction (/%category%/%postname%/) and I need it to pull from the actual way that I have set the URL in the live front end.

    Example –

    Usual Setup – This is the way I want and it shows on the live site
    domain/category-name/product

    Specific example of category-name – specific category-name example

    Plugin setup
    domain/category/category-name/product

    Specific Example for permalink category – specific category example

    When you say the above, what do you mean by it? How did you set the URL in the frontend? This will determine the ultimate answer/solution to your problem. Note that I have covered this question numerous times on these forums and the answer will likely be the same as before.

    The above link show the way that I want the trail to show. I did search for the answer in this forum but I couldn’t find one that matched my query. I would really appreciate an answer.
