I really like this plugin

I use this plugin a lot for dev sites, coming soon etc. It is very well coded imo, it always scores very high on Google speed test, it has just enough for one page SEO too, no fancy nonsense, just a simple field for the meta tags etc you need, but when I say simple I dont mean simplex. The editor then imo is what you want, classic and easy to use, they even allow shortcodes and it just works as they say. Thanks to the team here this is a very well crafted and maintained product.
