I screwed up my theme. How do i get it back? My blog is teote.com and i’m using the Jakarta theme. I accidently changed the background in the editor and it won’t let me undo. What should i do?

  • You could upload the theme you downloaded from whatever site up again.
Replace the original [unedited]theme with the theme you edited.
    That might work!

ps. [Tip from someone who learned the hard way plenty of times] Back up your whole code on notepad before you edit it, that way if you mess up, you can copy the original code and your theme won’t break.
    ??

btw, I am assuming that you haven’t made any other intense editing to your them if so, then replacing the whole theme is a bad idea. Just look at the original css file and copy the code for the background. And that should work.

I just got this theme from the theme list page. I don’t know where to get the html for it. When i tried to change it to another theme it fixed it and the background was right for the other theme (which i don’t want) but when i changed it back, the bad background came back. grrr..
    thanks fort he wordpad advice.

It also says on the Available Themes page that “All of this theme’s files are located in wp-content/themes/jakarta.” Where do i find that?
