I spammed myself out of my blog

  • My blog is https://www.idweddingbells.com and when I access the page everything is ok. However, if I click on READ COMMENTS or even to go the permalink of any post, it gives me an http 404 message. This prevents me from viewing my full post and even leaving a comment on my blog.

    I have been so dilligent with keeping all the spammers out that I am almost positive that somewhere along the line I have spammed myself out. I don’t use Akismet. I use the standard MARK THIS COMMENT AS SPAM feature on my blog, and for the more persistant spammers, I take their ip address and block their ip under the OPTIONS / DISCUSSION feature. I also have cleared all the ip addresses there to see if it will let me back in. And it hasn’t solved my problem.

    I’ve gone to my server and looked at myphpadmin. I ran all the comments ten times over and searched by ip and my comment name. It just all says that all my comments are approved and none marked as spam.

    And I know everyone else is able to get through, even spammers, because I have been getting constant messages on this blog.

    If this isn’t so mind boggling, I’d think it’s actually quite funny. Does anybody have a solution?

  • The inaccessibility of your internal links (single post, actegories, months etc.) has NOTHING to do with Akismet and/or spam.
