I-themes security kills any admin login

So (from memory) ran the 1-themes update yesterday and today all initial attempts to log into my site to get to customer orders have failed, and now all/any login urls now show a ‘page not found’ message. Totally screwed. My host spent a few hours trying to fix this ultimately to no avail. He initially suggested removing the plugin via ftp which I did but still the issue persisted. The I went into myphpadmin to find the logs relating to my ip but no logs for today were there! This seems to have totally messed my site. Anyone else experienced this after the doing the recent upgrade. I was on the free i-themes security service – thank god I didn’t pay to have a day of stress like this!
