I think I deleted the Home Page

The index page does not appear anywhere. I created a ‘Home Page’ link page and then I deleted the link. It is so frustrating that the index page does not appear anywhere in WordPress like the other pages do. It is only populated with posts. I am trying to create a ‘Blog’ page which is where I want ALL the posts to end up. Now they do not appear anywhere. Also, why does the ‘Comment’ feature not appear with the posts. This feature appears on EVERY page accept the page where the posts are supposed to appear. Help!
