I was adding images to my Elementor Pro gallery when I noticed a box for the Elementor Image Optimizer and the button to “install.” I clicked it and installed the plugin only to find out I need to purchase “Credits” to process images after the free trial of 250 image credits (each image cost around 5 credits per your example), so I would be able to process 50 images. My free trial would be over in a few minutes! You would think this would be a free service as part of Pro. If it were, it could help you sell more Pro licenses. With many free optimizer alternatives, I don’t see how this subscription model works for current Pro users or any users. How does it fit into the optimizer market? No “benefits” when compared to free optimizer plugin alternatives or using (Open)LiteSpeed’s optimizer. Look for yourself below, you have a list of “features,” where are the benefits? Tell me how you are better than your competitors. The Elementor brand loyalty doesn’t work to get me to “pull the trigger” during my decision making process for this plugin. I just Deactivate and Deleted the plugin.

    Image Optimizer Features:

    • Lossless or Lossy compression
    • Resize large images Convert to WebP
    • Remove EXIF metadata
    • Optimize in bulk or on upload
    • Backup/restore original images

  • Hello Ibackstrom, thank you for your feedback.

The Image Optimizer plugin does the “heavy lifting” of converting and compressing images on a dedicated server, so your own server won’t suffer from any downtime or the need to keep the tab open.

In addition, it is designed specifically for Elementor-created websites, ensuring seamless integration and performance improvements.

We understand if our Image Optimizer is not the best fit for your needs, and we know that there are still some areas to improve, with that being said, we believe our Image Optimizer to be a good plugin that can help users improve their websites without hassle.

Once again thank you for your comments, we appreciate the time you took to let us know your opinion and we hope that you continue to enjoy Elementor Pro.
