• Today I upgraded to version 3.0.1 of WordPress and found myself unable to log in as admin. I downgraded back to the previous version but it still wasn’t working, so I thought I would just uninstall it and reinstall it. I didn’t realize that when I did that, I would erase the contents of my entire blog! (I installed the new one in the same folder the original one had been in).

Is there anything I can do to get it back? I hadn’t done anything to back it up. I am freaking out! Will I have to pull up cached versions of every page and remake it from scratch?

So what version is installed now? did you put the 2.9.x files back on your server when downgrading.? checked the wp-config.php?

Check in phpmyadmin database if your posts are still there.

Does your host make regular backups?
