• I updated WordPress 6.1.1. a few days ago, but since then my posts have stopped displaying correctly. I don’t know if the problem is caused by some plugins. I have disabled all of them, enabled them one by one and removed those that cause the site to stop displaying, but the website still does not display correctly. My posts do not show the effect that activated plugins should have. I will appreciate your help.

  • What do you mean by “not correct”? I can’t see what the problem is right now. Do you have a concrete example at hand?

My posts do not show the effect that activated plugins should have.

That plugin might not be updated to support latest version of WordPress. Have you tried rolling back to older version of WordPress?

    Thanks for your answer.

After upgrade to WordPress 6.1.1. (what I did from the WordPress dashboard) I updated all the plugins, but wordpress told me that two of them (Akismet Anti-Spam and WordPress On Page SEO) had technical problems, so I disabled and removed them.

Later I noticed that since the update my posts do not show the related posts (WordPress Related Posts Thumbnails plugin) nor do the Main Sidebar widgets appear.

This is the link to my home page:
    https://www.franciscopayro.com/

And this is the link of a post (you don’t see the related posts or the main sidebar)
    https://www.franciscopayro.com/visita-al-santo-entierro-de-joloapan/

    Thanks for your help.

Probably your widgets got deactivated in process. You should have a look at your sidebar widgets if they are available and activated: https://www.franciscopayro.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

Yes, maybe the plugins are not updated for WordPress 6.1.1.

Could you tell me how can I install an older version of wordpress?

Unless you have a backup that you can restore from, downgrading is a dangerous process, which is why backing up before upgrading is strongly recommended both in the upgrade instructions and automatic upgrade interface.

It would be better to solve your current problem.

This problem may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

First all all, you should always take backups before upgrading/downgrading WordPress.

To you question. You can use this plugin to downgrade to previous versions: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/

I just checked all those plugins (Akismet Anti-Spam, WordPress Related Posts Thumbnails plugin) are supported with latest version of WordPress, except WordPress On Page SEO which is tested upto 5.7.8 version only.

I suspect that you’re having disabled widgets.

Thank you very much for your answers. I will do what you have suggested with the plugins. What I don’t understand is why I can’t see the main sidebar in my posts.
