I use wordpress 2.0.4

  • I use vertion 2.0.4 and would like to get a plugin that will let me add a image or video to the post.

    I also have new version wordpress2.7 on a different domain it has the perfect add image and video above the box where you type in your blog info post. i think its called insights.

    I tried to use insites plugin on 2.0.4 but it wont work and wants me to upgrage tp 2.3.

    kind of between a rock and hard place….
    I love the new wordpress 2.7 it has the image and video plugin that works great. but I cant get the smart rss feed to work right with it. on my version 2.0.4 the smart rss works perfectly, but I got no add image or video.

    can someone give me some direction here????

  • You would be better off fixing your RSS problems in 2.7.

    There have been significant security, performance, bug, etc. patches and updates since 2.0.4 – you shouldn’t keep using it, if you can.

    Yeah, you should at least upgrade to the latest in the 2.0 branch (2.0.11) if you’re using it:

    You don’t need a plugin to add an image or video to a post though. You can simply input this by hand.

    There’s probably an alternative or two to your Smart RSS plugin (I’m not sure what it does) if you want to go with 2.7. Link to it or tell us what it’s supposed to.

    SmartRSS autofeeds articles to the blog from sites such as ArticleDashboard. Sadly it seems to have not been updated to work with any WP later than 2.0.4
    Although there have been alternatives created that were supposed to do the same job for later versions of WP, I personally have yet to find one that actually works as advertised.
