I want the Blog-page to be visible in the URL: “/blog” as permalink

  • Hello all!

    I started with my blogs on my site https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/blog/, but I see that the blogs are listed as an overview on this blog page, but I would also like to see the individual blogs also in the path AFTER ‘blog’ are visible in the URL.

    Example: a Blog now has the URL https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/contentmarketing-of-copywriting/
    while I want you to see it on the Blog page, so like this:
    https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/BLOG/contentmarketing-of-copywriting/

    How can I do that? After all, all the Blogs are on this page, right? And this page is also set as a message page. Or do I not have to make posts from my Blogs but from PAGES?
    I do get the right URL path when I change the permalink structure, but this change ALL pages and posts.. All pages will be visible on https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/blog and I don’t want that of course.

    2nd question: if you look at the overview page where all blogs are (https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/blog) then I have not found a possibility to adjust the appearance of this page. The titles of the blogs do not look “clickable” because they are black. You don’t see quickly enough where to click to open the blog.
    In addition, it would be nice to write the summary shown yourself. Now WP takes the first few lines of the blog (without layout). This could be better?

    I use the Popularis theme.

    You can change permalink as a custom /blog/%postname%/ . You can access this page through https://www.jackpotcopywrite.nl/wp-admin => Setting => Permalink

    I have done this for my website [link removed]

    For your second issue, You need to write some styling to your website through
    Wordpress Dashboard => Appearance => Additional CSS.
    h2.entry-title a {
    color: #07bcfd;
    }

    For last changes, I would recommend to get some developer who can customize this website.

    Thanks a lot guys.
    Probably a stupid question, but I’ve tried this permalink setting but it changed on all pages, not only for the blog posts.
    Do I need to fill in the exact name of the blog title between the “% %”characters?

    Or does it only apply for new (blog) posts ?

    It should apply to *all* posts (not pages). %postname% is correct. It will be replaced by the post title (as converted to slug format).
