I want to build a forum website

I have looked at Xenforo software for creating an online forum.

1) Has anyone had experience in integrating it into a WordPress theme and how is that done? Is there a theme that works best with it?
2) Can anyone suggest a WP plugin that has the look and feel of Xenforo?
3) Xenforo has the look of Yahoo or google forums. Xenforo is a paid version and I probably want a plugin that is at the same level of sophistication, either paid or free.

Have you thought about bbpress it integrates into WordPress, is free, and will fit the style of the site you create in WordPress.

I personally have not, but you can go to this page scroll down and see how others have used it.
In fact this forum runs on bbpress.

What about IPB — Invision Power Board? I believe it’s the most robust forum software out there…
