• I have asked other forums how to change this particular font… but I don’t understand the answer

The font that I want to change is ‘quicksand’ it is the font of the logo and menu in this theme:
    https://themeforest.net/item/kin-minimalist-photography-wordpress-template/123713

The creator of this theme said I should basically pay a developer to do this because it’s too complicated… but really… I should be able to?

I have scoured the entire html in the editor in my dashboard and the name of this font doesn’t appear so I can’t change it there… the font for everything else is fine… it’s ‘quicksand’ i want to change.

    In my cpanel/filemanager/wordpress themes/ kin/font… I see the quicksand-webfont.ttf & .woff & .svg & .eot….
for quicksand bold & book – webfont.

I replaced them all with one font’s .ttf .woff. svg .eot
and it did change the font on my menu but only when I clicked on it…
Am I doing this the right way?
I hope this makes sense… I am new at this…

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Ondine,

Using custom fonts with WordPress is a thorough process and can take between 1 – 2 hours for non-developers, if all goes to plan.
As demonstrated through this thread https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/change-theme-font-1?replies=42

    Hi Ondine,

It’s more likely you want to look through .css files to change a font. Or possibly even .js files depending on how the theme author implemented font support.

The theme author’s advice is correct, changing the fonts in a web site design is a non-trivial process for a non-developer. It may be more painless to hire someone to do it for you. Possibly even the author of the theme themselves if they’re willing!
