I want to do something with archives that…uhhhh…me no know how.

Allright WP peeps. Maybe you experticons can help me.

I’ve had my blog since 2001 and just transferred it (with much help) to WP. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t do it sooner. WP is rocking my world.

Here’s my almost done blog:

I would like to keep 6 or so months of archives on the sidebar like it is now, and then have older archives stored on another page with monthly descriptions.

In the same idea as this setup that I had on my old blog:

Am I asking something really difficult? I don’t even know enough to know that.

I’m really trying to learn stuff, so if there are any basic tutorials that have helped you guys when you started out, I would appreciate if you shared them with me.
