I want to hire a wordpress expert. Am i in the right place?

hi. im new to the forums. I had been looking for someone to build me a wordpress blog simply because i do not know html. I looked on numerous of sites for someone to hire but could not find the right person. So i decided to check wordpress itself. I dont know if this is the right place to find a wordpress designer/developer but i guess its worth a try.
