I want to Insert my logo by the h1 tag in twentythirteen

  • Hi! I understand I need a child theme. It’s not working (I’m hung up on functions.php and noone has answered that question yet) so I backed up the original files and can reinstall without any issue in case I royally mess up my site.

    I want to use my logo next to the h1. I don’t want to waste a ton of space at the top of each page with a giant header or picture, I just want a nice little logo to pop up at the top of each page, under the nav bar, and to show right next to the h1. Seems like it should be simple but I do not know the first thing about PHP so I need a little help.

    I’ve searched plugins but I haven’t found one I thought would do what I want to do. Any ideas?

    Well I deleted some code in the header.php file and that worked. But probably not the best solution so I’m hoping for someone to respond.
