In order to modify the word “DOnations” or “Donor” within GiveWP, it requires using PHP to translate the text. We have several snippets in our snippet library that get at that process, but this one translates those words everywhere in the core plugin: https://github.com/impress-org/givewp-snippet-library/blob/master/translation-snippets/change-all-instances-donation.php
