    Good afternoon, I no longer have this plugin in the list of plugins, however it continues to appear in the settings menu and checking user access attempts. How can I remove it?

    remove it from plugin folder, connect via FTP, its named as limit-login-attempts-reloaded

    Thank you Extremist87 for your input. In my case I have it installed in the folder: /wp-content/mu-plugins.
    But I don’t know if it will be enough to delete the entire folder and if that won’t hurt the blog.

    This is something your webhosting provider did like GoDaddy. You should contact them for help.
