I want to see text when typed into password protected page

  • I have a password protected page and it works fine. But I would like the user to be able to see the text instead of a row of ****.

    For long passwords the user needs feedback so they don’t let typos frustrate them.

    Is there a plug in or native WP solution?

    I trust you are well.

    Please note, WordPress stores this password in a browser cookie so readers don’t have to re-enter passwords if they visit the same page multiple times.

    I noticed that the PPWP Plugin (pro plan) allows you select the option to display the “Show Password” button.
