I would like to center text and ads in the right sidebar

Hello, I am using ithemes2 on one site and zeeSynergie theme on another. I have the same problem on both so probably a wp issue and not a theme.

I want to put adsense ads in the sidebar but they come out squashed on the left of th eright sidebar and it looks bad. I tried on one site to add a div center command inside the widget, and it worked for a short while then went nuts and blanked out the ads, and merged the widgets. Then fiddling with removing the div codes, it merged the sidebar and main copy. My two sites are:

which I removed the ads and widgets for now. And, where I am redoing the whole thing and just put up one ad that you can see is inside the sidebar but off to the side.
