not sure what theme you are using, but something like this may work in the css

.entry-title {
	display: none;
}

Do not edit the theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

Then you will add the CSS to your custom CSS – actually I think that theme has a custom CSS section built-in. For CSS help, you need to post a link to your site.

in your dashboard just go to APPEARANCE -> THEME SETTINGS -> CSS tab.

there you can add this css snippet:

body.home h2.pagetitle { display: none; }

that should help and fix this issue.

1. No Titles to ALL Pages – just add this CSS:

/** no titles to all pages **/
h2.pagetitle { display: none; }

2. Decreasing header space:
Checkout THEME SETTINGS -> HEADER -> HEADER HEIGHT and play with some numbers like “150” or “120” for a smaller header.

I managed to pull the titles with the wordpres`s mechanisms, without css
an option to be checked, under the page: show/hide title
