I would like to set the og:url to an animated GIF url

I would like to share a WordPress post via Facebook and display an Animated GIF. In order to do that, we need to set the og:url to that image path.
Can somebody help us to achieve this. We prefer not to alter this plugin, so we can keep updating it in the future, so an entry in the functions.php file is preferable.
