I would like to show the short month instead of full month in wordpress?

    I would like to show short name of month instead of full month. March>Mar Like this.

    is there any way to do in WordPress? I am using Yoast plugin and Genesis Framework as theme.

    Already changed the default format to custom “j M. Y” in WordPress setting>general.

    PS: I am using Yoast premium version and support didn’t help me in this.

    We understand you want to show a shortened month for your WordPress date archive pages. WordPress by default outputs the full month.

    The only way to force WordPress to show a different format is to use our template variable filter here https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/#creating-custom to develop a shorten month variable.

    You can then take this variable and go to SEO-Search Appearance-Archives and click on the Date Archive Settings page and remove the Date template variable. Then add in the new custom one.

    Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

    The link doesn’t show to the public. That’s why it’s a separate field. You have to be logged into these forums to see it, thus, search engines don’t see it

    I want my link removed from post, why don’t you allow users to delete or edit posts?

    We’ve the right to show/hide something we want.

    As the link is not shown for the public but only for logged-in users, there is no harm in having the link up there. Apart from that, the forums here on www.ads-software.com only allows for changes to your reply/topic in the first hour after submitting it.
