• I have just setup my site, and have content loaded. Everything as going fine, and everything looked great, but all of a sudden I have a logo of a camera with a clock in the preview of all posts, and have no idea what it is or how it got there. It can be seen by all viewers. Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it? Here’s an example: https://bachelor.ie/index.php/category/technology/tech_news/

  • Disable the smart youtube plugin and see if it goes away.

Look at the link structure below:

You also have “index.php” in your permalinks. get rid of it.

Hi Sirazdrum, thank you so much. Thats exactly what it was, it was the smart youtube plugin. Is there another plugin you would recommend instead?

Also, how do I get rid of the “index.php” in the permalinks?

Really appreciate your help with this, it was puzzling me.

Hi Sirazdrum, ignore the query on removing “index.php”, I created a rewrite.script and removed the “index.php” from the permalink in settings.

Funnily enough though, even though I have deactivated smart youtube plugin, videos are still playing in posts as if it is still installed? Strange

    Jammi,

You are welcome. I don’t see any videos in your posts now, you must have figured it out already. Don’t use plugins for YouTube videos, just use the embed code and you are all set. Every plugin that you add to your site also adds to the page load as well. Keep it light and simple.

WP supports playing youtube videos natively…. maybe that is what is occurring
