Icons don’t work when duplicating pages

  • For some reason if you have a page with icons and use a plugin like Post Duplicator to duplicate one of these pages with icons, the icons do not work on the copied page (the block shows the “Block contains unexpected or invalid content” and attempt recovery button.

    Hi @bradley2083,

    Thanks for reaching out and I apologize for the delayed reply. I am able to replicate the issue with the Post Duplicator plugin. However, this issue does not occur if I duplicate the page in the Site Editor (with Gutenberg enabled), so it’s something to do with the way Post Duplicator duplicates the page. One guess is that it automatically duplicates and publishes the new page, whereas the Gutenberg implementation duplicates and sets the page as a draft.

    I don’t believe there is anything that can be done in the Icon Block itself, but if anyone has ideas, please feel free to open a PR in the official GitHub repository.
