Icons floating

Could you please clear cache? By that, I mean:

• Browser cache, see https://solutionbay.com/solutions/dont-know-how-to-clear-the-browser-cache-firefox-chrome-opera-microsoft-edge
• Purge cache from cache plugins
• Check if you have any server-side caching enabled (Cloudflare etc.)

Does it work then? Please let me know. Thank you! ??

I have cleared cache as instructed and there hasn’t been changes. The icons won’t appear at the bottom of my page. On the Ultimate social media icon plugin, I chose the option to display my icons at the bottom of the page and it isn’t working. I have tried the option that says “display via widget” and there hasn’t been changes also, it returned a result saying “my theme is not widget aware” I can’t figure out what that means exactly.

When you disable our plugin, do the icons still show?

When you say you placed them at the bottom of the page, that’s still the floating option?

When I disable the plugin, it doesn’t show. And yes, it’s the floating option but then I switched off the floating option and turned on displaying the icons via widget. And currently it’s not visible on my site.

Aha, you selected the widget option. Did you also place the widget on your site (in the widget section)? Does your theme support widgets?

Yes, the widget option.. I’m not entirely sure I placed the widget on my site, how do I confirm that? My theme’s name is Twenty Twenty four, I think it support widgets. I’m sorry but I’m not certain

Please go to the widget section. Should be under Appearance => Widgets

I just checked, the only options under Appearance is” Theme” and “Editor” There no widget there

Okay, then maybe that theme doesn’t support widgets. Then either you can change the theme, or place our icons in other ways, e.g. via shortcode.

Thank you you so much. I ll probably try another theme then. How easy is it to place icons via shortcode? Maybe that will be faster for me

Placing the shortcode is easy, but how it’s exactly done depends a little on the theme. You can google for it or maybe ask the theme creator? As part of https://ultimatelysocial.com we can also help you with theme related issues.
