    Dear all,

beneath the frontend detail view of an event there are buttons for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
RSS and Email buttons are fine but all others are shown as small boxes instead of the icons.

    Is this a known issue?

    Kind regards

  • Hello,

Could you perhaps send us a sample page of what you’re referring to? Currently EM doesn’t have any buttons for sharing on Social Media, Theses are usually from other plugins.

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick reply.

You’re absolutely right and I’m very sorry for my stupidity!
Of course the sharing buttons are provided by the Theme (Agama Pro).

The strange thing is, that the animated icons work on all other pages and articles except the EM-calendar event view as you can see here:
    https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/test

    Any idea?

    Kind regards

    Hello again,

even stranger now: the social media icons are visible (in the social media top menu and below the content) if I restrict the content using “Restrict Content” plugin, as you can see here:
    https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/test-2

If I leave the content unrestricted, icons are not shown in the social media top menu and also not below the content:
    https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/test

I know maybe it’s an uncommon constellation and maybe EventsManager is not the cause but I wonder that only EventsManager content is affected by this problem.

    Hello,

Sorry for the late reply, I’m checking the events that you mention. ie: https://bundesverband-smart-city.org/veranstaltungen/test-2 and it seems to be showing properly below the content?

Alternatively, Usually sharing plugins have a way of custom adding shortcode to specific locations. You could try and disable the auto adding on the events pages if they have that option. Then manually add the shortcode under Events > Settings > Formatting > Single Event page format.

    Dear Tim,

thanks very much for your reply and your efforts.

I set up a new test installation of WordPress with only Agama Theme and Events Manager installed.

    Adding/deactivating Restrict-Content-Plugin then didn’t make any difference.

Finally it appeared that “Events Manager – OpenStreetMaps” Plugin by Stonehenge Creations is the cause of the problem.

Sorry that I forgot to mention that I had this plugin also installed/activated.

Do you think there is anything that you can do about it or should I contact Stonehenge Creations?

    Kind regards,
    Mirko

    Hello,

Currently it’s not the EM Team that developed the “Events Manager – OpenStreetMaps”, I would suggest contacting the developer of it for your concern.
