    I added social Icons at the bottom of my posts, then decided to instead put them in the footer of every page. Now I can’t get the icons on the posts to go away. All checkboxes under “where shall they be displayed” are unchecked.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for reaching out. You mean the rectangle icons? Those are set under a separate question on the plugin’s settings page (show icons after posts). Could you please try to disable them there?

    These are all UNchecked:

    Please select one or multiple placement options:

    Floating over your website’s pages

    Show them via a widget

    Place via shortcode

    Show icons after posts

    Is there another place I shoud be?

    Actually, it might be a cache issue. Could you please clear cache? By that, I mean…

    – The browser cache, see https://www.solutionbay.com/solutions/dont-know-how-to-clear-the-cache-1
    – Please also check if you have a cache plugin installed. If so, please disable it temporarily, and check if it’s ok now

    Tried clearing the cache, and also opening the posts in 4 different browsers.

    The problem persists.

    At the moment, there is no cache plugin.

    Theme is Generate Press Premium with Elementor Pro…

    Conflict?

    Same issue, stuck icon after first use.

    Never mind removed this over the top loaded down junk, when a support goes its cache it never is. It is the go to everyone uses, its 2019 everyone knows how to empty a browser cache. I installed unchecked icon and first use they showed up anyways. No way it can be cache. So removed this junk and gave one star.

    @danfrankdancom That’s strange indeed. If you de-activate the plugin, do the icons disappear then?

    Deactivating and reactivating didn’t work.

    I deleted the plugin altogether, re-added it, ignored the checkboxes, and just added the widget. Some setting were remembered.

    Seems to be fine now.

    @danfrankdancom Ok, thank you!

    @pcdude Please take note.

    Same issue here.

    Added both “Place via shortcode” and “Show icons after posts”, wanted to keep only the shortcode, found no way to remove the icons “after posts” from the articles.

    Deselecting the option “Show icons after posts” and saving – both with “save” button in “Where shall they be displayed?” section and with the general “save all settings” button -> doesn’t work.

    Deselecting all “Where shall they be displayed?” options and saving in the options plugin admin page -> doesn’t work.

    Checked if was a cache problem: it wasn’t.

    Deactivating the plugin: all icons disappear and shortcode remains ad plain text (as expected, and it proves cache isn’t involved)

    Reactivating the plugin: keeps last saved settings, and all icons reappears, included the “after post” ones, even if they are NOT selected to show up in the options page. No way to get rid of them, no matter what.

    Your plugin looks very useful, but it’s pretty annoying when a plugin mess up with your db and admin pages and doesn’t reverse back things when required. Means it leaves code around, when and where it’s not supposed to do so – and it’s not really reassuring.

    @krn3ll Could you please select “No” in “So: do you want to display those at the end of every post?” under “Show icons after posts” under Q3?
